About Future Divers

Our Mission

At Future Divers of America, we are dedicated to providing training and equipment scholarships to underserved youth and military veterans. Our mission is to make scuba accessible to those who might not have the opportunity otherwise.

Future Divers of America offers training and equipment scholarships to our underserved youth, military veterans and military family members.

You can apply by sending us an email or message us through the "Contact Us" page and we will respond with application process.

The application process will require an application, essay about why you want to become a diver, proof of financial hardship, and a signed contract with us. 

For veterans and their families we also require proof of GI Bill funds being depleted and a copy of the veterans DD 214.

Once we receive all required documents we submit the compete packet to our review committee for selection. The committee will select up to 4 applicants per month to attend training and receive equipment. The process for approval takes about 30 days.

Each one of our awardees with receive free open water scuba diver certification (lifelong certification) along with a complete set of scuba diving equipment to keep. This equipment includes mask, snorkel, fins, booties, gloves, hood, wetsuit, BCD, regulators, computer and equipment bag. The value of this complete scholarship is in excess of $3000 per awardee.

Yes, each qualified person is eligible regardless if they are in same family. So, if one of your children qualifies than so do your others. Depending on number of applicants and when applications were received, your children may not be in the same class but can still be awarded the scholarship.
